Overview

Responsible for the management of all clients’ products within the supply chain and to act as a point of contact between the distributors, business managers, sales force, and clients.   These functions include but are not limited to inventory control, purchase orders, code dates, and pricing.  Works with clients, business managers, distributors, sales force, and stores to ensure an efficient delivery system.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide information to distributors to set up and order all new items.
  • Monitor progress of P.O.’s and correct any shipping issues for new items and inform the Business Managers and sales force of availability.
  • Integrator for speed to shelf and distribution tracking.
  • Manages the life cycle of clients’ one time buy items.
  • Follow up with distributors to ensure delivery is made on time.
  • Inform the sales department of arrival.
  • Track the flow of these items by store and alert the sales force if any stores are not pulling their quotas.
  • Inform distributors of all phased out items and track until gone.
  • Update the Business Managers and the sales force of inventories and identify disposal stores.
  • Minimizes client’s liability.
  • Manage inventory on all date sensitive items to ensure the least amount of price reductions for the clients’.
  • Report to the Business Managers and sales force any code date issues.
  • Communicate to Business Managers and sales force any dead stock in distributors.
  • Assist Business Managers with correcting any pricing issues between the distributors and the clients’.
  • Coordinate with Business Managers and the sales force in implementing plans for ordering large promotions. 

Qualifications

  • Some college required.
  • 3 years of food management experience.
  • Must be computer literate with a demonstrated proficiency level with Microsoft Office Suite products.
