  • Overview

    To effectively lead and professionally manage, direct, coach, retain and motivate a team of Field Sales Professionals and Head Office Staff to achieve their objectives and drive performance, continually reviewing performance and seeking ways and methods to improve.

     

    To develop strategic relationships across all roles but specifically at a senior level within the client’s business

     

    To work in conjunction with the client, Clients representatives, line manager, & head office team to provide strategic direction to the account adding value and driving commercial business initiatives to ensure profitable performance.

    Responsibilities

    1. Fully manage Reach client projects through strategic direction of the team.
    2. Develop existing and new contact strategy at Senior level in client’s business through formal and informal meetings to develop relationship
    3. Develop open discussion to ensure full understanding of the client’s business goals and challenges to add value and challenge, creating partnership approach
    4. Make recommendations on improving, developing current Strategy based upon new opportunities, client needs
    5. Agree key areas of performance and measurement with client and build supporting budget to fully fund plan
    6. Build roles, structure and responsibilities to support service. Recruit against profile
    7. Create 3 monthly rolling activity programmed to support KPI achievement. Built in conjunction with client objectives
    8. Identify key data and analysis to drive activity plan to achieve KPI’s/ROI. Ensure continuous evaluation of insight to course correct if necessary
    9. Review and evaluate activity/results by capturing results and report against KPI’s/ROI and offering substantiation of performance and recommendations for future improvements and next steps
    10. Review budget performance monthly with Reach Finance Department and quarterly with client to ensure operation achieves KPI’s within budget
    11. To provide a professional working environment through consistent application of policies & procedures as described in the staff handbook, disciplinary & recruitment procedures and any other issued account specific or company policies
    12. Ensure that KPI’s are achieved through use of Motivation, performance management techniques: objective setting, results analysis, performance measurement, coaching & counselling
    13. Identify new business opportunities or new service or productivity gains and ROI benefits
    14. Develop the team strategy based upon new opportunities and proactively plan against potential threats/risks
    15. Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s - Master’s Preferred
    • 15+ years’ experience in client relationship management at senior level
    • 10+ Years’ supervisory / management experience with the ability to develops talent and mentor sub-ordinance into future leaders
    • Proven 5+ plus years of commercial CPG experience in a developed market
    • Experience champions a clear channel of communication and coordination between all functional areas impacting operations
    • Proven, strong financial and analytical mindset
    • Business leadership and management ability
    • Ability to manage and motivate people, especially high-level managers and executives
    • Knowledge using business insight to lead and grow the business at the account level
    • Ability to build and manage, high-level client relationships
    • Superior verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to create presentations and deliver at senior level internally, to clients and new business pitches
    • Ability to see the business from a global perspective
    • Ability to cultivate innovation
    • Decision making and accountability skills within own area of authority
    • Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Access, including Visual Basic.
