  • Overview

    The role of the Deduction Coordinator is to Manage & Maintain National Client Trade Deduction Process for assigned Client / Clients.  Liaison between the Client Trade Representatives, internal Client Managers / Customer Managers and Sales Support Admins and Customers for assigned Client/s Nationally or Regionally.


    • Analyze and process all open, valid deductions for assigned Clients / Customer combinations. Reaching out for clarification when required.
    • Manage Weekly/Monthly deduction balance ongoing by keeping notes up to date as changes occur.
    • Manage order Pricing Variances for your Client/s – work with Customer Service, Business Process, and Customer Mgr. to resolve issue and prevent future deductions.
    • Keep all back up in the Clients proprietary system by debit to ensure Sox Compliance, if this is not applicable, all back up and documentation must be stored electronically in the Acosta server.
    • Initiate repay request with appropriate Customer Mgr. and provide required back up to support request. Follow up to ensure compliance and resolution.
    • Review and prepare all Audits – Client or Customer initiated. May include creating a spreadsheet to include the following:
      • Year to Date Sales by Product/Product Group by Customer
      • Year to Date Accruals by Promo/by Product/ by Product Group by Customer
      • Year to date Expenditures by Debit/Promo
    • Other duties assigned.


    • Bachelor of Arts Degree
    • Prior 1 year food broker experience preferred.
    • Must have prior 2 years sales support/customer service and/or office administrative experience.
    • Must type 60 wpm.
    • Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational and administrative skills.
    • Must be able to effectively communicate with others.  Must be able to operate a calculator, computer, printer, fax machine, telephone, copier, shredder, paper cutter and postage machine.
    • Must have advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, E-mail and data entry.
