We are currently looking for a Junior Buyer (Seasonal) to join our innovative, growing company.


The Junior Buyer role is primarily responsible for supporting the execution of purchases for the Experiential Marketing USA business; stationed in Chicago.  Reporting to the Purchaser and/or Procurement Manager, the Junior Buyer will be primarily supporting the Purchaser in purchasing practices and execution.


The Junior Buyer will:

  • Collect proper documentation to ensure vendor compliance. Escalate non-compliant vendors for approval
  • Vet vendors against key procurement and risk criteria on assigned business projects
  • Manage execution of purchasing functionality within ERP; Vendor database management, purchase order execution and items receipt and maintenance
  • Source vendors in multiple categories of spend
  • Maintain vendor, risk, and procurement engagement and compliance trackers
  • Provide weekly and ad hoc reporting on spend, compliance and engagement
  • Escalate all non-compliant purchasing activity to the Buyer
  • Support the Buyer on all projects purchasing activity
  • Support Procurement Initiatives as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor Degree Preferred
  • One to Three years in purchasing / procurement experience
  • Experience working with an ERP/Purchase Order System (Dynamics AX a plus)
  • Direct experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Detail oriented and process driven
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills required. Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet competing deadlines with available resources
  • Process management, negotiations, analysis and excel
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills
  • Professional attitude and leadership skills
  • General awareness of the marketing industry and competitive best practices
  • Ability to support internal purchasing processes in a fast moving environment.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
