The Director is responsible for the coordination and development of the training for internal and client's Retail Sales and Merchandising Organization for the United States.


  • Lead, manage and coach activities of the Manager of Training Development and Lead Trainers to ensure the training objectives of the company and clients are achieved.
  • Exhibit high proficiency in performance of responsibilities to include the development of training materials in the organization to drive performance of client’s fresh operators.
  • The incumbent will develop a relationship with client's Fresh Operations/Training and Development teams to provide training plans by utilizing knowledge of the customer and client’s SOP’s and KPI’s to assist in teaching and training. 
  • The Director will achieve goals and results at the lowest possible cost while maximizing revenue, develop relationships and serve as Acosta's primary point of contact on training-specific issues (i.e. Teamleader training, Fresh Assistant Manager training, Club Manager and Fresh Market Manager training).


  • Qualified candidates must have a college degree and 3-5 years experience in marketing, sales and/or other industry related functions.  Prior experience must demonstrate a proven track record in sales along with the ability to successfully manage and direct others. 
  • Technical skills must include proficiency in a variety of software packages used to support the sales function, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
